SAVE OUR PLANET NOW
The world is facing a pollution crisis that is everlasting because of the hands of humans that are producing different types of pollution daily.

What is Pollution and why is it important?

Pollution is where hazardous substances or gas contaminate the environment. The significance of pollution is that it leads to worldwide health problems and consequences to the climate.

Different Types of Pollution : Land, Water and Air Pollution

Resources such as plastic and non-biodegradable material discarded by humans lead to land and water pollution. On the other hand, air pollution is the generated gas or smog from motor vehicles and manufacturing plants that are owned by us.

Major Health Diseases Caused by Air and Water Pollution

Due to the usage of contaminated water or breathing harmful air can cause many cases of lung cancer, heart disease, stroke, and other respiratory illnesses. Some types of harmful air are particulate matter, lead, carbon monxide, etc.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has statistical data showing that an average of "4.2 million people die from outside air pollutition per year".

Learn the 4Rs: Reuse, Reduce, Recycle and Refuse!

Reuse is the process where durable plastic products or clothing are used again as the same object, but for a different or similar purpose.

Reduce is where an individual prevents or lessens the productivity of non-biodegradable products.

Recycling is the idea of a substance or product that is changed or reinvented into another object. Such as many clothing items are cleaned and altered to other products like tote bags.

Refuse is an action when an individual concludes not to purchase a nonessential item. The result of buying an item that is not needed will impact the environment because it will possibly end up in a landfill that will never decompose.

Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Emily, a student that studied ecology (a.k.a environmental science) and shocked by the fact of how land, air, and water pollution have impacted communities today. As an environmentalist, I want to motivate others to take action in taking care of our planet.
